ABOUT US

The competition, which began on 8th May and the deadline for application is 31th July, is an excellent opportunity for students and SMEs to apply their knowledge and business creativity on an international stage. The competition has been organised every year consecutively for 11 years. Each year, the finalists will have the chance to visit China, pitch in front of Chinese provincial government officials and corporates representatives and win cash prizes. In previous years, the finals were hosted in cities such as Chongqing, Tianjin, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen etc.

This year, besides £2,000 and £1,000 cash prizes for the winners of SME entry and graduate entry, we also offer a complimentary investment service lasting for six months to the top four teams. This includes introduction to at least one Chinese investor, expertise and network related to the Chinese market. These opportunities of connecting with foreign capitals and gaining soft skills will be of particular significance for those teams that have an existing or future China focus. What’s more, Cocoon Global, an innovation centre located in 4 Christopher Street, EC2A 2BS, is offering the winning teams hot desks in their space, along with a series of startups support, including an international mentoring program and venture capital connections. Winners will also have the chance to have one night free stay at Magna Carta Island.
